The Brook Park Natatorium

Bringing Back a

Community Landmark

After being shut down for years, the Brook Park Natatorium was selected by the City of Brook Park for a much-needed restoration. This project focused on repairing the building’s masonry envelope so the facility could be safely reopened and serve the community once again.

Navigating Difficult Access

The Challenge

Restoring the natatorium required extensive work on exterior masonry surfaces, but access was difficult. The original foam roof and several overhanging roof sections made it challenging to reach the walls and columns that needed repair. The team had to carefully plan work zones and safety measures to carry out the restoration without causing additional damage to the structure

Precision Masonry in Action

Our Process

CBR’s masonry crew tuckpointed the walls throughout the building, rebuilt damaged brick columns, and applied a thorough cleaning regimen. To ensure long-term durability, the team finished the job with a protective water-repellent treatment across all masonry surfaces. Despite the access challenges, the crew maintained a high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail from start to finish.

Restoring for the Future

The Outcome

The restoration brought the Brook Park Natatorium back to life, strengthening the structure and preparing it for years of community use. The City of Brook Park was left with a renewed facility that honors the past while serving future generations.
